Proposals for the 2026 Renewal School Award

The School of Renovation is now open for the fourth call for proposals for the award of prizes for quality renovations of architectural heritage.

The awards are for owners of cultural heritage buildings who, with determination and confidence, bring old buildings and their stories to life. Through restoration, owners of heritage buildings create new spaces and amenities in city centres, build not only personal but also community identities, bow to traditional values, revive old craftsmanship and make sustainable construction a reality.

The Quality Renovation Awards are presented by the consortium of partners of the School of Renovation project - the Faculty of Architecture (University of Ljubljana), the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia, the Association of Historic Towns of Slovenia, the Secondary School of Construction, Geodesy and Environmental Protection in Ljubljana, and the Škofja Loka School Centre - under the coordination of the Association of Historic Towns of Slovenia (ASH Slovenia). The awards are presented by the School of Architecture (University of Ljubljana), the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia, the Association of Historic Towns of Slovenia, and the School of Architecture.

We kindly invite you to submit your proposals for quality renovated buildings.

The call is open until 30 April 2026 and the call documentation is available on the website Schools of renewal.
