European Heritage Days and Heritage Week

European Cultural Heritage Days (EHD), as the name suggests, are a joint action of many European countries under the auspices of the Council of Europe and the European Commission. Almost every year, a new community joins the ranks of participants, and each year, once again, the organisers choose a variety of themes to showcase Europe's cultural heritage to the local public, to Europeans and to the world.

European Heritage Days (EHD)

Back in 1991, Slovenia was one of the founding countries of the EHD, along with several other European countries.

Every year since then, the organisers have chosen a variety of themes to showcase Europe's cultural heritage to local audiences, Europeans and the world.

As the name suggests, the EHD is a joint action of European countries under the auspices of the Council of Europe and the European Commission.

Heritage Week (HW)

HW aims to promote awareness of the importance of cultural heritage and to promote this type of content among children and young people.
