Dear Sir or Madam, ZVKDS OE NOVA GORICA is organising an international event "NOVA GORICA RAILWAY STATION" on Sunday, 28 September at 17.00. MULTIVOCALITY OF HERITAGE. The event is dedicated to the conservation of dissonant heritage in public spaces and the challenges in preserving the multifaceted history of the railway station in Nova Gorica.
We invite you to join us on Sunday, 28 September, 17.00 Join us at Xcenter (Delpinova ulica 20, Nova Gorica) for an international event on the conservation of dissonant heritage in public spaces and the challenges of preserving the multifaceted history of Nova Gorica railway station.
The event NOVA GORICA RAILWAY STATION - THE MAGNIFICENCE OF HERITAGE will take place in two parts:
- Round table: CONSERVING DISSONANT HERITAGE
It is intended to discuss current challenges in conservation and contemporary approaches to understanding, interpreting and presenting the immovable heritage of the 20th century, which also take into account the fact that heritage is multifaceted and in some cases can be dissonant. The renovation of the railway station, the challenges in preserving its multifaceted past, the concept of dissonant heritage and international examples of its interpretation and presentation will be presented.

The workshop is aimed at a joint, creative reflection on the possibilities of making sense of the multilayeredness and dissonance in heritage, using the example of the Gorizia station.
The event is open to the general, professional and interested public and will be held in Slovenian and Italian. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
