Collegio dei Nobili - renovated palace opens its doors to the public

The Municipality of Koper, in cooperation with the Slovenian Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, has successfully completed a major renovation of the famous Collegio dei Nobili, one of Koper's most important Baroque buildings, which now hosts a primary school and a grammar school with Italian as the language of instruction.

The early 17th-century palace, with its rich history and architectural exceptionalism, was the subject of a complex conservation and restoration intervention, which was carried out under the expert supervision and guidance of the ZVKDS. The Institute's experts ensured the preservation of authentic architectural elements and historical layers at all stages of the project, including the research and restoration of decorative plasterwork and the colour articulation of the facades.

After the opening ceremony in September, which was attended by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, among many distinguished guests Nataša Pirc Musar and President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, will be renewed Collegio dei Nobili has now opened its doors to the general public.

In cooperation with the Municipality of Koper, IPCHS, Pier Paolo Vergerio il Vecchio Primary Schools and Gian Rinaldo Carli Gymnasium will be on Wednesday, 12 November, guided tours of the renovated palace, with 16.30, 17.30 and 18.30. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes.

Due to limited places, participation is only possible on prior registration by email to protokol@koper.si to Tuesday, 11 November. When registering, please provide the names of all visitors, a contact telephone number and your preferred visit date.

The renovated Collegio dei Nobili is an important example good cooperation between the local community and professional care, combining the care of cultural heritage with its contemporary mission - to be a living part of the city and the community.

Il Collegio dei Nobili apre le porte al pubblico

 Quest'anno il Comune città di Capodistria ha completato la ristrutturazione del Collegio dei Nobili, sede della scuola elementare e media con lingua di insegnamento italiana. After the official inauguration in September, alla quale hanno partecipato, tra gli altri ospiti illustri, anche la presidente della Repubblica di Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar e il presidente della Repubblica Italiana Sergio Mattarella, ora anche il pubblico potrà visitare il palazzo risalente all'inizio del XVII secolo.

Il Comune città di Capodistria, in collaborazione con l'Ente per la tutela del patrimonio culturale della Slovenia, la scuola elementare Pier Paolo Vergerio il Vecchio e il ginnasio Gian Rinaldo Carli, organizzerà delle visite guidate al palazzo ristrutturato del Collegio dei Nobili. Il primo appuntamento è previsto per mercoledì 12 novembre alle ore 16.30, 17.30 e 18.30. Ogni visita durerà circa 45 minuti.

La partecipazione sarà possibile solo previa prenotazione all'indirizzo e-mail protokol@koper.si  Al momento della prenotazione, il richiedente dovrà indicare i nomi e cognomi di tutte le persone per le quali quali desidera prenotare la visita, un numero di telefono di contatto e l'ora desiderata. La prenotazione della visita negli orari proposti sarà possibile fino al raggiungimento del numero massimo di partecipanti.
