7th international SEE Mosaics meeting
From 13 to 16 October 2026, Ljubljana will host the 7th international professional meeting SEE Mosaics, which will bring together conservators-restorers, archaeologists, researchers, and other experts in the field of the protection and preservation of mosaic heritage.
This year's meeting is titled Reconsidering the protection of the mosaic heritage in the face of climate challenges – conservation, preservation and restoration It will put the focus on the impacts of climate and environmental changes on the preservation of ancient and modern mosaics.
Over the four days, case studies from different countries will be presented, and experts will exchange experiences and discuss conservation approaches, research, monitoring of the state of the art, and long-term solutions for safeguarding the mosaic heritage.
The meeting represents an important opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, the networking of experts, and the strengthening of international cooperation in the field of conservation-restoration of mosaics.
