2nd Olga Zupan Symposium: Vlasta Kopač - Heritage for the Future
ZVKDS, OE Kranj invites you to the 2nd symposium of Olga Zupan with the title Vlasta Kopač – Heritage for the Future. The symposium will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, Regional Unit Kranj, Tomšičeva ulica 7, Kranj.
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the death of the architect and humanist Vlasta Kopač (1913-2006). On this anniversary, we have joined forces with museums, public institutions, and individuals who preserve his legacy. Throughout the year, various events have taken place, presenting many aspects of his work and highlighting the significance of his work for the Slovenian space, cultural landscape, and shared memory.
As the final event of Kopač's year, we will gather together the final thoughts on his legacy with a look into the future. Through the symposium, we aim to highlight and emphasize his contribution in preserving heritage through the lens of modern times.
We invite you to join us.
