In recent years Heritage Science has been successfully evolving into an important interdisciplinary scientific field, which includes modern research infrastructure and excellent scientists that are now developing E-RIHS – European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science. At this process also Slovene scientists are very active and recognisable. On the 12th of June 2018 Slovenian national hub E-RIHS Slovenia has been established signing a “Memorandum of Understanding Relating to the Establishment of the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science – Slovenia” by director general of the Institute of the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia, Jernej Hudolin and rector of University of Ljubljana, prof. dr. Igor Papič. By this act foundations for further development of E-RIHS Slovenia are set and its involvement into E-RIHS EU is encouraged.
