Subsidies and Loans for the Renovation of Cultural Heritage
Projects involving the protection of immovable cultural heritage are co-financed from the part of the state budget allotted for culture
Pursuant to the Rules on Procedures for Implementation of the Budget of the Republic of Slovenia (OGRS, No.13/ 00), the Ministry of Culture publishes a public tender for the co-financing of cultural projects in the area of immovable cultural heritage every two years after the adoption of the state budget in the public media; the tenders are for projects to be financed from the state budget for culture over a two-year period.
The subsidies are intended for the planning and implementation of renovation work and the presentation of cultural monuments. Owners, co-owners or authorised managers of buildings and areas of cultural heritage which have cultural heritage status may apply to the public tender.
The co-financing share is 50% of the pro-forma invoice value; the remaining 50% must be found by the applicant.
