Slovenia’s Cultural Heritage
The IPCH devotes a great deal of time to the promoting Slovenian cultural heritage and informing the public of the importance of preserving it. Alongside its regular activities, the Institute therefore organises lectures, guided tours of monuments, exhibitions and presentations of cultural heritage, and issues professional and popular publications such as well as guides to cultural and natural monuments in Slovenia.
Every September the IPCH, together with institutions in other European countries, prepares The European Heritage Days – EHD event. These focus on different themes, presenting particular forms of heritage, specific historical periods and different approaches by society to cultural heritage.
